5 October 2025 : Cusco
Having returned from Machu Picchu I spent some more relaxed time in Cusco, seeing a little more of the city.
I found my way to Calle Siete Culebras ("Seven Snakes Street") where the Incans carved serpent shapes into their stonework.
And nearby on Hatun Rumiyoc ("Street of the Great Stone")...
... I found the "12 angled stone", a famous example of the Incans shaping the wall stones to fit perfectly together.
I had lunch in the Catfetin Cat Cafe. Thankfully this works on a very different principle to Peru's many 'guinea pig cafes". Cats that have previously been rescued are given a home in the cafe and are available for adoption by customers who befriend them.
Later I went to a cultural show at the Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo (Qosqo Center of Native Art)
