Having spent a quieter couple of days in Cusco I felt it was time to venture further afield again and I took a day trip to Rainbow Mountain. Collection from outside my hotel was at 3:30 am.

Training was quite basic but enough to enable us to ride to the mountain - a journey of around an hour.

Then about an hours walk from the parking site for the quad bikes to the viewpoint over mountain itself. The mountain didn't appear as brightly coloured as some pictures I've seen show it, and the day wasn't very bright - but the rainbow patterning was clear.

There were also impressive views over the countryside.
