There are some wide roads but mostly the area is made up of narrow streets which are shared by pedestrians, motor vehicles and sometimes bicycles and rickshaws. Motorbikes are especially common.
If there are traffic laws then they don't seem to be commonly observed with a feeling of all traffic being essentially equal priority.
There is a broad mix of Nepalis and other nationalities. English language signage is very common.
