To Deurali
Continuing on my way I enjoyed fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
There's little flat land in this area so the locals rely on terraced farms for food production.
By now I'm well accustomed to the bridges.
And since we're ascending again of course the stone staircases.
Th returned us to high altitude and the area was beset by mist.
I stayed at the Hotel 360 Deurali which is set on a hilltop amids the jungle.
The hotel seems to be a recent construction and there were few western tourists. The family running the hotel seemed not just happy to help but genuinely delighted to be asked e.g. for a cup of tea.
I had my own room which was clean and comfortable with all the conveniences - wifi, electric lighting and sockets, en suite toilet and shower.
The electricity proved unreliable, I think because they relied first on solar power during daylight hours and the mist blocked this.
